Bak Zoumanigui, a native from Senegal, West Africa, raised near Paris, France moved to Austin, Texas as a teenager 20 years ago. It was not an easy transition because of the language barrier and culture shock. He was stuck spending most of his time studying to avoid getting behind his studies. Even though he had his family, he wanted to belong and experience the great things Austin had to offer.

As a music fan, he quickly connected with artists, music venue owners, performers, patrons, fellow music fans, DJs, restaurants owners, and more. Eventually, he grew a reputation as a nightlife insider. He also hosts and produces The FeedBak Podcast, a weekly podcast featuring talks with influencers in the entertainment, music and service industries. For over a decade, Bak has used his knowledge of the local scene to help people navigate the city, via the podcast or giving personal recommendations to those who crossed his path. Turning his knowledge and network into a business was the next logical step.

Rob Stuart, a recent transplant from Michigan who found himself not knowing what to do in Austin, happened to meet Bak through mutual social networks. Stuart, an entrepreneur and successful shipping consultant whose prior experience includes cofounding a consulting firm to help urban cities implement city-wide community preparedness programs, saw a way to fulfill his ongoing dream of giving back and helping others right here in Austin.
